Before the ‘Angel’ of success arrives…

Complied by Sandra Nnaemeka

Clifford and Susan featured in an interview in one of the choicest organization in Africa and before them were the stakeholders and CEO of the company. These set of interviewers can be intimidating, of course questions were asked simultaneously but, Susan appeared apprehensive while Clifford was bold and courageous. His confidence speaks volume. Everyone was pleased with him and the level of confidence and intellectual abilities he displayed; it was exceptional.

Interestingly, Clifford was asked to come back for the job because he wowed the interviewers. Indeed he was perceived as would add value to the organization, the CEO muttered. Susan was further disqualified.

While they both walked out of the auditorium, Susan asked Clifford how he got the big break. It’s magical. He answered in a low tune:

“I prepared myself for success”

Susan quickly got grasped of the principle contained in those words. She applied same and shortly she got an offer with a credible organization she was satisfied with.

Here is a quote extracted from a fabulous book, ‘’Do less, achieve more” by: Chin Ning Chu.

“Before the Angel of success arrives in your life, you should devote yourself to preparing to meet her. Polish your craft and strengthen your body to be fit so that you can do your job and enjoy success when it comes. Sharpen your mind and spirit so they are ready to face the challenges that accompany the visitation from the angel of success.”

“If you are not ready when the Angel knocks, she will flee. And who knows when she will make it back around to your door again?”

Wow! This suggests to me that you just have to be ready and prepared at all times.

Preparedness is a value that should be adopted as a lifestyle for our daily living. Only the prepared sees opportunity and grab it. To succeed you need to prepare for it.

Here is 2018 glaring at you, so crystal clear. What are you willing to make out of it? How will you make this year count and how prepared are you for every challenge that might come your way?
