President Muhammadu Buhari conferred a posthumous national honour of Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (GCFR) on late Nigerian businessman and politician, Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola (popularly known as MKO Abiola), who won the first democratic presidential election in Nigeria on June 12, 1993 and was assassinated shortly after.
