How Graduate foolishly Lost A Job of N600k

By Ufuoma Bernard

There was this young man that introduced himself to me in my neighborhood as an Urhobo and I immediately took him as a brother. I don’t meet with Urhobos everyday in Port Harcourt.

One day, he told me his story. He graduated since the past ten years and no job, no dime. I linked him up with a contact in Onne, FOT who accepted to employ him because I told my contact he’s my brother.

But the young man read Marketing and the vacancy was for a Mariner. So the company through my contact offered to train him in Ghana for six months and give him N3m to arrange himself.

After the training he’ll be given a provisional appointment with a basic salary of N600k and mouth watering allowances. As they were processing his travel documents my contact asked him about his brother which is me because I told my contact he’s my brother but this foolish boy ‘abi’ man denied me by telling him am not his brother and that we met in my neighborhood only recently and that he doesn’t know much about me.

My contact now aghast asked him if he had ever worshipped in my church and instead of him to just say yes or no he started blabbing that I am a false prophet and that how can he worship in my church, that he’s proudly of Redeemed.

To cut a long story short my contact cancelled his file and denied him the job and called me to narrate his conversations with the young man.
