Anambra APGA cries out, ‘fake associations using our name to defraud aspirants’

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Anambra State Chapter has bemoaned the activities of fraudsters, especially those described as ‘fake associations’ who obtain from aspirants by tricks.

According to a statement signed by Hon. Chinedu Nkwonta , the State Publicity Secretary, APGA, obtained by GRASSROOTS.NG, on Thursday, the Party warned aspirants to be careful of such preys.

The statement reads: “It has come to the notice of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Anambra State Chapter that some desperate individuals; using fake association names and attaching the name of our Party are making  false representation with intent to deceive and defraud aspirants.

“These desperate individuals have been issuing press releases and statements on issues thereby offering false position of the Party to the general public.

“We want to State that The All Progressives Grand Alliance, Anambra State Chapter under the able leadership of Sir. Norbert Obi has never authorised any person or organisation to grant press releases or issue any statement on behalf of our Party.

“Any person or purported group making any press release or representation on behalf of the Party is not recognised by APGA, Anambra State Chapter under the leadership of Sir Norbert Obi.

“No individual or association is authorised to present the position of APGA, Anambra State Chapter under any circumstance except the Office of the State Publicity Secretary of our Party.

“We hereby issue a general warning to anyone or purported group usurping the duties of the Office of the State Publicity Secretary to desist from such actions forthwith.

“Further false representation of our Party shall be dealt with severely within the provisions of the Constitution of our Party.

“All official positions of APGA, Anambra State Chapter shall be communicated to party members and Ndi Anambra through the official channel.

“APGA must not be distracted from taking over the entire State elective positions in the coming elections majorly due to the successes that APGA Government under the able and pragmatic leadership of the Ever Hard Working Elected Leader of the Igbo Nation, Chief, Dr. Willie Obiano has achieved in the past five years and counting.

“We are equally conscious of the fact that we are the parent chapter of our Party therefore have a burden to lead by example at all times and encourage, advice and support other States to achieve our status.

“We take our role seriously therefore will not tolerate any action/s callously designed to undermine our great party.

“Be warned”.
