Ezza Ezekuna, Ebonyi South support for Gov. Umahi’s re-election bid

The people of Ezza Ezekuna and Ebonyi South zone of Ebonyi State on Tuesday drummed their full support behind the re-election bid of Governor David Umahi come 2019.

The Ezza Ezekuna, comprising Ezza south, Ezza North Ishielu LGAs, endorsement is contained in separate communique issued at the end of their summit and rally held at Onuke, Ezza South and Afikpo in Afikpo North local government areas respectively.

They reiterated their earlier stand and adoption of the Governor as their sole candidate in the 2019 governorship election in Ebonyi, saying that they would throw their weight behind governor Umahi’s bid in considering the many sacrifices of the governor and his developmental strides in the state.

One of the communiques reads: “Following the hearty adoption of Governor David Umahi as our sole candidate in the 2019 gubernatorial election, Ezza Ezekuna people hereby resolve as a united people from the same descent to establish a central campaign platform to be known as Ezza Ezekuna Divine Mandate Campaign Organisation for the realisation of Governor Umahi’s second term project.

“This central campaign organization which have structures in the local government areas and in all the wards of Ezza Ezekuna people at home and in diaspora shall ensure the effective utilisation of our resources for maximum positive impact on Governor Umahi’s second term project.

“That Ezza Ezekuna people hereby congratulate all their sons and daughters who have expressed their aspirations to contest elections for various offices to play by the rules of engagement.

“Ezza Ezekuna people at home and in Diaspora resolve that whoever emerges as PDP candidate in senatorial, House of Reps, and state Assembly constituencies in Ebonyi State shall enjoy maximum support of Ezza Ezakuna people.

“The Summit, which had in attendance, prominent Ezza Ezakuna sons and daughters, including the members representing Ezza South-Ikwo Federal Constituency and Ezza North-Ishielu Federal Constituency, was organised by Chief Emmanuel Igwe, Publisher, National Issue Newspapers.
