The need to develop start-ups and improve the culture of entrepreneurship in any economy cannot be over-emphasised.

More so, research has proven that one of the ways of achieving this is through developing clusters of communities that can serve as catalysts for entrepreneurship development.

It is to this end that the Nigerian start-up ecosystem witnessed the addition of GoDo.ng to its folds, with a promise to ensure that more young people are given the necessary platforms and opportunities to grow.

GoDo.ng was publicly unveiled on Monday, October 1, 2018, in a brief, but colourful event, at 53, Oladipo Bateye Road, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.

The unveiling event was performed by Mr. John Obaro, Managing Director, SystemSpecs, who expressed delight at the thought of the Co-Founders of GoDo.ng, for commencing such a project, for the benefit of available talents in the country.

Mr. Obaro in a brief admonition at the gathering, shared how Remita has stayed sustainable primarily because of being single minded.

According to him, focus and persistency are keys to achieving whatever goal one has set.

“Remita platform would have long been dead if I did not have the strength of character. My primary advice to start-ups would be to avoid distractions by all means necessary and it is important for entrepreneurs to always be true to themselves”, he concluded.

GoDo.ng, is a platform established and made available for the use of creative and innovative minds, as they converge to share co-working space, with state-of-the-art-facilities, connect and collaborate with one another.

It also provides a serene environment to learn from business experts, mentors, coaches, investors, etc., as well as build relationships, with a view to scale.

Also, the facility is suitable for cognitive thinking and privacy, with co-working space, uninterrupted power supply, free and fast internet connection provided by Swift Networks.

A former President of the Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria, Mr. Chris Uwaje expressed delight at the launch of the facility.

According to him, “Nigeria has no business being poor, however, to achieve any meaningful development, we have to retool our workforce, educational structures and platforms like this would help us achieve that as long as we put our minds to it.”

Speaking at the event, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr, Co-founder of GoDo.ng, expressed joy on the progress that startups across the country have made despite the harsh economic conditions and weak policies. Notwithstanding, he pledged that GoDo will work to also extend the progress by focusing on solutions that will deepen financial inclusion alongside others.
