Asoko Insight unveils DealMapping platform for investors

Asoko Insight, the most comprehensive solution to map private, African companies, has launched a “DealMapping” platform built around one core objective: to help African businesses secure growth capital to realise their full potential.

The platform connects high investment potential African companies with angel investors, venture capital and private equity companies to help them raise capital and accelerate their growth. Companies submit profiles via the platform in order to become “discoverable” by global investors who use the platform daily. In addition, these companies benefit from exclusive “DealRooms”  –- matchmaking events facilitated by Asoko at which pre-qualified companies and global/regional investment firms meet face-to-face.

Speaking on the launch, Asoko CEO and Co-Founder, Rob Withagen, said “African businesses are rapidly growing in terms of both number and sophistication, but sourcing alternative forms of funding and positioning themselves in front of global investors remains a challenge. At the same time, deal sourcing across the continent’s private markets can be an arduous task for investors seeking high-growth opportunities. Enhancing private sector cooperation and driving investment in sectors of strategic interest within Africa, is at the core of the vision at Asoko.”

Upcoming DealRoom events include GAIN Nutrition DealRoom, taking place on October 16-17th 2018 in Nairobi, focused on companies operating in the Food and Nutrition value chain, followed closely by Africa 2018 Forum DealRoom, held in Sharm El Sheikh, December 8-9th 2018 where the focus will be on companies operating in the Agro-Industry, Manufacturing, Tech/Fintech, and Transport and Logistics sectors.

Submissions for participation at the Africa 2018 Forum DealRoom will close on October 26th 2018.
