Ogonis go to the polls to elect new MOSOP leadership

The Ogoni ethnic nationality of Rivers State goes to the polls today, Wednesday, December 19, 2018, to elect a new leadership for the Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People (MOSOP).

A statement signed by Chairman, 2018 Electoral Committee, Chief Emmanuel Nkala, said the election would hold from 10:00 a.m. at MOSOP Secretariat, Peace and Freedom Center, Bori.

The statement announced Lazarus Tamana and Fegalo Nsuke as the only presidential candidates following the non-clearance of Barr. Naabulobari Nwin Naazigha-Lue and Chief Elder Fortune Okwa Chujor.

Oluji Bartholomew Oolaa is unopposed for the position of Deputy President while

Deacon Monday Ziinu and Amb. Fidency Legborsi Tor-Ue are to slug it out for the position of Secretary General.

Lezor Lenu Mosos is unopposed for the post of Publicity Secretary; ditto Barinordum Ke-Eeh (Financial Secretary), Alex Akori (Assistant Secretary), and Benjamin Dinee (Treasurer).
