Are you sick of bad dates and being taken advantage of? Here are some tips to survive in the dating jungle.
#What not to do on your first date….
Don’t drink: Alcohol impairs judgement and you would want to make safe, sensible decisions to avoid going to bed with a stranger on the first day.
Some others would say drink a little, a little can turn into a thousand and create a mess leaving a wrong message.
Don’t be too sexual: If it is a possible relationship you want, not a one night hook up, then keep a little mystery. You want to be taken seriously and not mistaken as a prostitute. This includes your dressing honey.
“Cover up” You don’t know where it would lead, why show off what’s not supposed to be seen. Dress comfortable, smart and pretty at the same time. Don’t be seductive when eating, walking or talking. He’ll see you as another ball to catch, play and throw back.
Don’t go on and on about your ex(es) or your ailments or how awful your boss is. Negativity is a downer. Complaining too much will make you look weak. You’re beautiful and fierce honey, Not an infant who cries when faced with situations. Talking or dwelling on your past hunts your present and destroys your future.
Don’t go to the movies: You might think this tip is weird but it’s important. You want to know the person not sit next to them in silence for two to three hours. Men assume that once you agree to go to the movies with them “you guys are already a couple”. Go to a place where you can talk to each other, ask questions, e.t.c
Don’t eat/order too much: You don’t want the guy to see you as a hungry dog who just saw bones. Order what you can finish, do not eat to the point where you are uncomfortable, do not do ” takeaway ” like they call it.
Always have cash on you: This tip isn’t only for first dates but for all dates. He may not have enough money or may have forgotten his wallet, or you may face an emergency. You’ll need money to offset those. In case the date goes wrong and the man doesn’t pay the bill, you can conveniently pay your bill and save yourself unnecessary embarrassment
Don’t try too hard: Just relax and be yourself. Don’t try to impress him. You’ll create an image you won’t be able to meet up with at some point. This isn’t saying you should make a fool out of yourself. Just do you! Every one has their unique qualities.
