FG fetes Procter & Gamble Nigeria, others, at 2nd annual PEBEC awards

The second annual Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) Awards held  early this recognized Ministries, Departments and Agencies [MDAs] of Government and members of the public and private sector that contributed to driving the Council’s reform initiatives.

The Awards ceremony was hosted by PEBEC with Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Vice President of Nigeria and PEBEC Chair; Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment and PEBEC Vice-Chair; as well as Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Industry, Trade and Investment and PEBEC Secretary in attendance.

P&G Nigeria, amongst others were honored in the award category of Sustained Implementation Support, which recognized private sector supporters of the FG’s ease of doing business intervention through the provision of direct technical support to the Enabling Business Environment Secretariat over an extended period of time.

For Procter and Gamble, the Company has supported the FG’s ease of doing business project by dedicating resources to work closely with the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council team to provide supply chain expertise.

According to the organization’s spokesperson, Nigeria remains a focus area for P&G and its various activities, contributing to the Country’s economic growth and overall business environment. P&G’s social investments touch millions of Nigerian annually in health and education programs.
