Secretary to the Akwa Ibom State Government, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem, will head the Planning committee set up by His Excellency, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for the forthcoming Akwa Ibom State Education Summit.
The theme for the summit is “Human Capacity Building for Sustainable Transformation of Persons and Safety”.
A statement by the Permanent Secretary, Office of the SSG, Mr. Imoh B. Inyang, shows that the committee will be inaugurated tomorrow, Thursday August 08, 2019, in the conference room of the Secretary to the State Government by noon.
Members of the Committee include, Commissioners for Education, Dr. Nse Essien; Science and Technology, Dr. Iniobong Essien and Information, Mr. Charles Udoh.
Others include, Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board; Chairman, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic, University of Uyo; Akwa Ibom State University and Rector, Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua.
Also in the Committee are the Provost, College of Education, Afaha Nsit, Rev. Father Donatus Udoette, Justice Theresa Obot, Chief Executive Officer of Toro Inoyo Foundation; Chairman, Akwa Ibom Professionals, Lagos; President National Association of Akwa Ibom State Students; Professor Vincent Anigbogu, State Chairman of ALGON and Chairman of EARCOM.
The Committee also has Professor Mrs. Alice Udosen of the University of Uyo, Mr. Aniefiok Wilson Iwa Udofia, Clan Head of Ukpomette in Ikot Abasi, His Highness, CM Edem Udo and President of AKISAN, USA.
