The past 2 weeks have been very busy, but more busier is this week. The roads keep getting clustered with beautiful cars causing gross traffic jam everywhere. All the savory restaurants are all occupied with “guys and babes” of different accents.
How about the local joints where goats are creatively prepared. If you want isi-ewu, nkwobi, goat meat pepper soup etc., it’s not just available, the consumers are ready to spend money and buy them. The supermarkets too, overcrowded.
The queue you are subjected to during payment will leave you drinking at least two Cans of whatever drink you have in your cart because this Harmathan did not come to play at all. I have never had such experience in a long time. Oh my!
I remember going for Spa treatments on the 18th of Dec. specifically facials and pedicure and I was told Nelson and Oluchi (cosmetologists) had been booked till 31st Dec, both will not be able to attend to me. I’m like whaaaat?
Permit me to exaggerate a little, there were multitude of women when I stepped into this Space for my treatments.
Honestly, I love the way women take good care of themselves, very impressive. Most of them had weddings to attend, some were the brides, and others were just getting ready for Christmas. Infact it was more like a “pamper-Day” for women.
To say I was the only one who walked in and walked away without being attended to will be stating the obvious. Usually when it’s festive season, there’s always a rush and if you must get any form of services from your regular cosmetologists etc., you must book them in time.
Well, while this is a highlight on how the past weeks have been for me, and to me, it’s also an advice.
We must be Prudent!
The prudent exhibits skill and good judgment in the use of resources. Rich or Poor, human wants are unlimited and therefore insatiable. On the other hand, the means with which to satisfy or fulfill them is grossly limited or inadequate.
There is an irreconcilable equation between our means and wants. Prudence becomes the only tool and #Value that helps us derive the possible best #Value from this deadlock.
Remember from January a lot of bills will be paid. Some rents will be renewed. Parents must pay school fees; students will buy text books, etc. This Christmas which is just few hours ahead from now, please I urge you to spend wisely and live happily.
That said, I hope we make conscious efforts to stepping into 2020 well prepared.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous new year.
Much love from the Anis’.
