A lot of people have zero knowledge of geopolitics.
The only middle East country that supports Iran is Bahrain. Iranians are not Arabs and their original religion of Zoroastrianism means they are never taken as serious Muslims. They are Shia. Imagine mentioning Arab nations that are actually ENEMIES of Iran as fictional coalition
People should understand that attacking a country’s embassy is the direct equivalent of attacking the country that owns the embassy. Why do you think Julian Assange was holed up in Ecuador’s embassy in London for several years without the British Police attempting to force their way in and arrest him right away?
People seem not to understand that within the middle East no one likes Iran, Saudi and Israel become friends anytime they face an Iranian threat, most Arab nation’s will side with Saudi Arabia and that’s siding with the US. The recent middle East sanction on Qatar shows the powers of Saudi Arabia in that region. The EU will obviously side with the US because of NATO. U.S for now remains the modern day Sparta, Iran will just become another testing ground for new weapons and technology in the American arsenal waiting to be used. Iran doesn’t stand a chance.
The crazy Ayatollah has been running his mouth like tap and threatening the US for so long now. They attacked a US military base and orchestrated an attack on the US embassy in Baghdad. The attackers inscribed the name of this general that died on the wall of the embassy hailing him. Not to forget, they brought down a US military drone some months ago. There was an attack on Saudi oil refinery, A UK ship was attacked and seized by Iran in October last year. Trump would have made America look very weak without a very strong response. Mind you, Obama started a war, Trump has not started any war till date. If I am Nigeria’s president, if you kill one Nigerian, I will retaliate viciously. Actually, what Trump has done is telling Iran to activate their weapon for a full blown war which is the biggest business for American arms companies and pharmaceuticals but Iran will never go to war with the USA, they actually don’t have the military capability. Iran is surrounded by Israel, Kuwait and Saudi which are sworn enemies.
The way Iran was going, they gave Trump no option than to respond in kind. I just hope the Iraqis were carried along in planning the strike. As for Iran, I want to believe they’ve gotten the message clearly. If they continue with the unnecessary provocation, they will get it hot from the US.
Unfortunately, Iran is fighting with the wrong enemy. The Iran of the 70s were very progressive people.
America actually protected Iran from Iraq at a point in their history. If Iran had not been taken over by radical Mad Men, they could have gone very far. The only thing that kept Saddam from invading the likes of Iran and other States in the middle east was the West. You need to go read the Iraq-Iran wars.
Iran is only still standing as a country because the U.S has lost its appetite for engaging in conflict within the middle east.
It is not too late for Iran to back down. The people of Iran should throw off the Ayatollahs, get a progressive leader, swallow your pride and be free from sanctions that is biting hard on your economy.
That is the only sane thing to do to guarantee a good future.
Again, both parties have to apply restraint, the catastrophic effect of any war on global economy will affect everyone on earth, except Weapon manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies
Those who think China will back Iran are mistaking. The only country China can fight for or protects is North Korea, that’s because they’re so close to China, defeating North Korea in a war is like invading China.
China is not ready for war unless they bring it to their door step.
China would rather invade Taiwan than going to fight for a poor Iran. If war starts, Russia has a lot to gain in sales of armoury and gas. Higher oil price is a gain for Russia.
Let’s hope peace reigns. Human life should be wasted by power players
