A ghastly motor accident has occurred at Enugwu-Agidi axis of the Onitsha- Enugu express way claiming one life and injuring three persons.
The accident involved three vehicles, a Honda SUV with registration number GGE 309 FK, a tipper lorry AWK 922 XJ and a trailer.
Getting to the scene of the accident, ABS observed that men of the Federal Road Safety, State Fire Service, the Police and their sister agencies were busy intervening in one way or the other, while the body of the SUV driver has been taken away and those injured were taken to a nearby hospital.
Speaking to ABS, the Sector Public Education officer of FRSC, Route Commander Pascal Anigbo said their men rushed to the scene immediately they heard of the accident, saying that the accident was due to wrong overtaking.
Route Commander Anigbo noted that with the efforts of their men, the police and their sister agencies, the corpse of the dead who was trapped in the vehicle was evacuated and those injured were taken to a hospital in Awkuzu, Oyi Council area for treatment.
He advised the public not to be in a hurry but exercise patience and have absolute concentration while driving.
