Life is a journey that must end, either happily or sadly. Many people have lived their lives and gone back to meet their ancestors. While some are still living their life.
There are bound to be mistakes while living your life, if you are wise you learn from those mistakes. But it is better to learn from the mistakes of others.
As a matter of fact, we learn so much from mistakes. No matter how successful you are or how much you claim to have lived your life to the fullest – there must be certain things you did, you wished you never did.
Even the likes Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Aliko Dangote wish they never did some things. It’s a natural phenomenon.
For instance, some women wished they never got married to their husbands. They wish they got married to the other men who were coming for them. The same thing applies to men.
Some wish they never venture into business while some wish they did. The mistakes are endless.
In a chat with David Quan, an Asian who recently raised about $5 million for a startup, he mentioned 12 major things he would have done differently if he was still in his 20s.
David is 35, has his own startup and also runs a digital marketing education called Seicho. According to him, he is learning from all his mistakes while building his way to financial independence.
He said: I am in my late 20s now and if I had to do it all over again, what would I do differently?
- Don’t listen to my Asian parents, do a comp science or engineering degree mixed with psychology
- Leave the shitty friends way earlier
- Instead of spending money to impress people I don’t even like, invest that money to make myself better
- On that note, learn about personal finance and invest earlier
- Stop watching so much porn
- Stop being a bitch, get out there and talk to people
- Yea also, tell myself that alcohol and going to the club is not cool
- Study for the exams I failed
- Learn to study properly
- Learn to lift
- Experiment earlier with psychedelics
- Say thank you to Dad for carrying my whole family out of poverty
