A few persons I have come in contact with dislike Monday. Some of the reasons are not far-fetched.
The reality is that it is always a little challenging starting a new work week. A large majority of people stay up a little too late on Sunday and that definitely affects your new week.
Once it’s Sunday evening anxiety kicks in especially for those who don’t really like their job or those who have a bad working environment. Anybody who recalls these factors start becoming nonchalant about the new week.
That is why it’s is imperative to take up jobs that you love.
Be it as it may, here’s everything you need to know to have an awesome Monday and start your week off right.
- Prepare on Sunday – While you are enjoying your weekend, always remember that Monday is often a busy day. You need to catch up after the weekend and preparing for another full working week. Even if you are don’t belong to the 9-5 category, you just need to plan.
- Avoid looking at work emails on the weekends – Opening that email that was sent to you during the weekend could be tempting. Ignore all emails, don’t attend to them until Monday. Once you start opening those emails you get overwhelmed and your anxiety level tends to increase.
- Have enough sleep – This cannot be overemphasized. You need to sleep well on Sunday evening, so you can wake up very early on Monday morning.
- Get your body moving – Get up from the bed and do a little exercise. It’s possible to be a bit lazy when you just wake up from sleep to face the new week. Sometimes, it feels like you had overstressed your body. Don’t let that tie you down. Swing your legs and move your body. Do a bit of exercise and start preparing to hit the week running.
- Don’t skip breakfast – This is the most important meal of the day. Some people do not really get comfortable eating in the morning before leaving the house. Always ensure you do that. It helps the body system and also give you the energy you need to start your day.
