Fani-Kayode Criticises Tinubu For Not Standing Up To Greet Ooni

Ex-Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has voiced out on Twitter, criticizing the Bola Tinubu for refusing to stand up to greet the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi in an event in Lagos.

The National leader of the All Progressives Congress was among the dignitaries that attended the coronation of the Oniru of Iruland in Lagos state on Sunday, September 6, 2020.

The Ooni of Ife arrived at the event and was walking to his seat when he stopped by to greet Tinubu. Tinubu failed to stand up in respect to greet the traditional ruler.

Femi Fani-Kayode has publicly criticised the former Governor of Lagos on Twitter for his actions. He stated that it is an insult to every indigene of Ife and descendants of Odua.

His tweet reads,

“That the Asiwaju of Bourdillon refused to stand up to greet the Ooni of Ife speaks volumes.This was not only deeply insulting to every Ife & indeed son & daughter of Odua but it is also a crying shame. Would a northern pol. leader refuse to stand up for his traditional ruler?”
