Resident Doctors Suspend Strike In JUTH

The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) has suspended their strike to enable them attend to emergencies occasioned by the crisis in the state.

This Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) in the state, Thursday had expressed concern over the increasing cases in hospitals’ emergency wards and mortuaries due to attacks and killings in various Plateau communities.

The state chairman of NMA, Dr. Innocent Emmanuel, and the Secretary, Dr. Bapiga’an William, lamented the security situation in the state, adding: “The Plateau branch of NMA is saddened by the persistent vicious acts of ravaging the society and exerting a great toll on the physical and psychological wellbeing of the masses across the state.”
