Every woman who has experienced menstrual cramping knows how painful it can be as menstrual cramping are cramping aches and pains that affects the lower abdomen and also extends to the back sometimes.

So if it was possible to omit the painful side to menstrual period, I guess every woman who feels it often would happily skip the cramping part. Perhaps making cramps to disappear completely might not be totally possible, but there are some things you can do to ease or reduce the pain.

You might have heard of engaging in some activities like exercises which helps, like bathing with warm water instead of cold water during your period time, avoiding cold meals, and so on.

1. GINGER:

Ginger is a herb you can use in cooking your meals like your stew, rice, etc. So consuming it isn’t a hard thing to do.

Ginger helps to ease menstrual cramps, and also boosts up strength against the fatigue which comes with pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS). It also has many other health benefits too.

So you can make your ginger tea, or cook with it to help give you the ease you want.

2. FENNEL:

Fennel is an ancient herb commonly used in the Asian countries. It is has the power of warming the body up against coldness.

So since menstrual cramping is caused by stagnant or stiff blood that has difficulty circulating, consuming fennel helps in warming up the body which keeps the blood around your abdomen or pelvic area dissolved and easy to flow.

3. CINNAMON:

Cinnamon has an anti-inflammatory ability for period pain. It also helps in slowing heavy flows for some people who don’t like heavy flows. So you can take a cinnamon tea consistently during your period days or add it to your cooking to help ease that cramping.

4. PRIMROSE OIL:

Primrose oil which is edible can be gotten in form of supplements. So you can have some of the packs in your home for consumption during your period days.

Studies shows that it aids in relieving PMS, and is rich in omega 3 and 6 fatty acids which has the  anti-inflammatory solution that eases up pains and balances the hormones.

5. PEPPERMINT LEAF OR OIL:

Eating the peppermint leaf aids so much in pain relief. So you can accompany it with your meals or eat it like that.

The oil also serves as a pain killer. It also comes in from of supplements which can be kept at home.

6. PIPER GUINEENSE AND NEGRO PEPPER:

This is simply called Uzizza and Uda in Igbo language. It is very familiar in the eastern part of Nigeria. Now this ingredients are not only used to flavor soups and other meals, they both have very good health benefits. And they aid in very good and easy flow of blood.

So they make it easy for period flow to happen without cramping caused by stiff bloods.
