African Leaders Are Using Force Against Agitators – Senator Abaribe

The lawmaker representing Abia-South Senatorial District, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe has made a strong for nations that are agitating for independence after Barbados became independent from UK and no one was killed.

Grassroots.ng reported that Barbados became a republic and swore in its first president, Sandra Mason, 55 years after the Caribbean island gained independence from Britain

According to the Minority Leader, when Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe fought for the independent of Nigeria, it was given to Nigeria on dialogue, adding that even when the British was in control, it never used force on the agitators.

“I see no reason why the current African head of states are using force Against agitators for self determination instead of dialogue.

“In our own country, the hypocritical fact is that while agitators are being hunted on daily basis, known terro-rists are being given VIP treatment in the name of repentance.

“This is why things keep going bad because those who feel marginalized will continue to use other means to drive home their agitations.

“We need to apply dialogue inorder to get things right. I will continue to speak this truth because posterity will judge our actions today.

“It may bring bad omens for our children if we fail to do the right thing now.”
