Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known by his stage name as Burna Boy has been a musical sensation to Nigerians and and even internationally. The Grammy award winner who came to light in 2012 after he released his lead single titled “like to party” from his album LIFE, has since proven beyond doubts that he is a super star indeed.
The music star who’s songs are majorly pop and Afrobeats, grew up in southern Nigeria. He began making his own beats using fruityloop. After schooling for a little bit in Nigeria, He moved to London to further his studies where he studied media technology at the University of Sussex. Afterwards, he also studied communication and culture at the Oxford Brookes University. He returned to Nigeria afterwards his studies for a year internship which led him to staying back in Nigeria to pursue his musical career.
Burna seem to have been brought up from a good and competent family. He has a sister, A mom who is his Manager and his dad who was once the manager of the all time juju musician, Fela Kuti. History has it that his mom was also once a back up singer for Fela Kuti.
Burna Boy who just clocked 31 years old on the 2nd of July, was celebrated hugely by his fans, family, and mum especially. In respect to that, he received an art made with 15,000 crystal stones by the world’s best renown artist San B. Burna was thrown into huge excitement as the art was unveiled by the artist himself for him to see. Here’s the video below.
