Nigerians have taken the death of the Queen personally since yesterday the news dropped. The Queen who was reportedly facing some health challenges before her passing, was 96 years old and had ruled England for 70 years.
The news of her demise carried a whole lot of attention on social medias and other media outlets as people all around the world are currently mourning and sending in condolences to her family and people.
However, Nigerians have also taken her death quite personally. But whilst some are mourning her death, Others are expressing anger towards the maltreatment that was meted out on Africans during the slave trade era as they felt the Queen was hugely part of it and never put a stop to it. It’s obvious that a lot of different emotions are in place right now about her demise.
