Alexis Sanchez has clashed with Jose Mourinho amid reports Manchester United regret signing him.

The Chilean superstar moved to the Red Devils in January in one of the most controversial transfers in recent Premier League history.

At Arsenal, his contract was expiring and the Gunners risked losing him for nothing in the summer.

And a move to Manchester City to reunite with Pep Guardiola was expected.

But United blew them out of the water with a whopping £500,000-a-week offer.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan was sent to the Emirates as part of a swap deal.

But reports emerged that club officials expressed regret to Premier League chiefs over signing Sanchez in a meeting.

The 29-year-old has scored just once for the Red Devils – a penalty against Huddersfield.

And according to reports, Mourinho is keen on bringing at least two more attacking players to the club.

Sanchez disagreed with the Portuguese manager in a huge bust-up in his office, the report says.

Former Chelsea boss Mourinho has already clashed with some of his top stars this season.

Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial both kicked off in the dressing room after being confronted by their manager after losses to Tottenham and Newcastle respectively.

Martial reportedly threw a water bottle, which hit a staff member.
