Enugu Standstill as South East Governor Receive Ekwueme’s Body

Former Vice President, His Excellency, Dr. Alex I. Ekwueme journey to Eternity has started as his remains arrived Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, today.

Governors Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu); David Umahi (Ebonyi); Willie Obiano (Amambra) Rochas Okorocha (Imo); GOC, 82 Division, Nigerian Army, Enugu, Major Gen. Adamu Abubakar; Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province, Most Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Chukwuma; President -General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo jnr, were joined by others at the Airport to receive the body of the late elder statesman.

May his gentle soul continue to rest in peace, Amen.
