Why I sighed on our wedding night

Published

on

She stormed my house as usual, thinking it was her normal visit, but oops! I should have thought better.

Kate and I have been friends for 5years and our friendship has been amazing. She’s well domesticated. She helps me with cooking most times she visits, as cooking was part of her hubby. She has introduced me to one of the best online shops for my groceries, and this has made shopping easier for me. She helps me out with my laundry too, without stress. In fact, she’s been committed in making my life better and stress free.

As a bachelor and a busy banker, assistance to some basic domestic chores has been a great relief for me and I appreciate all those hand-of-help she’s offered me over the years.

Kate has always been a reserved person who wouldn’t jeopardize her integrity for anything. She’s got strong morals and values. For the past 5years we have been dating, we never engaged in any form of premarital Sex, not once.

I didn’t think it was possible until we both achieved it. Staying this long and not engaging into that with her, even after making several attempts, but she never yielded to my advancements.

Well, I respect her for that but then, a man is a man. I knew down within her that she feels something stronger for me, and I felt same over her too. Each time she visits me I always got seduced. Damn! Kate is endowed! She get am.

Friends, families and well-wishers have been on my neck to knot the tie since all I needed in a woman she got it.

What was I waiting for? I needed to put my life in order. We started dating before I even got a job and I was barely 8months gone with the new job before friends suggested I go meet her parents officially.

Kate loved everything about marriage; we discussed it over and over. She described how our matrimonial room would look like. She talked about having regular sex in marriage, how hot our honeymoon will be and where we will meet, in a Jacuzzi.

I knew I needed to work harder to get us a good hotel for our honeymoon since she had voiced her plan and intentions.

Each time we discussed this especially the sex part I get aroused and I try to make some advance but she wouldn’t open up, and am like , why would you say such or flow in such discussion and still be sane. I

Well, we got along, and after a year in the office I was miraculously promoted. I knew it was time to really propose officially to Kate. Kate being a shy lady, a public engagement would turn her off or even make her reject my proposal.

I had fixed a date for the proposal and was waiting for that day to ask the long awaited question until Kate visited.

She knocked on my door and she hardly does that, she uses the door-bell most times, so I didn’t’ know she was the one. I quickly rushed to get the door open and behold it was Kate.

I was surprised, but acted as if I was expecting her to knock on my door. I lifted the stripped polytene bag she was carrying and said to her with a peck on her cheek, you are welcome. She gave me a benign smile and walked into the kitchen to unleash the items she bought for cooking. I closed the door and followed up admiring the beautiful curves that was before me.

We got cooking until she called my attention and said she wants to discuss something with me. I was consumed by her looks and how subdued she was looking, at that very moment.

What is it? I asked apprehensively. I was brain storming to know what had gone wrong but didn’t come up with anything. She said in a low tune, Kenneth, what will make a man divorce his wife?

I was dazed, because Kate never calls me by my name, and the question got me even more dazed.

I asked her why she was asking such question, but she demanded an answer from me. Before I could talk she started abusing men, how wicked men can be and callous too, we got into a serious argument that too time to quench.

After narrating an ordeal between my aunt and her husband who divorced her, she became relief by my story. I knew I needed to talk to her whether the story was real or framed up, she just needs an answer so I responded accordingly with real facts however.

The proposal day was fast approaching and I kept monitoring her movements and schedules for the whole of that week. Eventually it got to the D-day. I got a ‘’Yes’’ after proposing to her and we started planning our wedding immediately.

Two weeks gone Kate didn’t visit my house again, so I believed she was very busy with the preparations. I visited her almost every day after close of work and kept discussing about our wedding and home to be. We shared so much that I couldn’t wait to devour my wife to be.

We lodged in one of the choicest hotel in Lagos city on our wedding night. I had arranged the bedroom and decorated the Jacuzzi with candles and scented flowers.

I had also connected my phone to the mega boom speaker in the room, so immediately we came into our hotel room my favorite love song began to play. In less than 8 sec, I removed all my clothes while basking in the memory of all the love and sex affair we shared. All lights were switched off and I was the only one who could trace the switches.

I grabbed my wife to devour her. I pulled her wedding gown off, stretched my hands towards her face to kiss her but she bluffed me. Sweetie; I called out. She didn’t respond. I laid her on the bed and asked why she was moody and suddenly lost interest. I reminded her how she has been waiting for this night, and how she envisaged our first love making in a Jacuzzi having shower together. Kate replied; I am not interested in having sex with you. I sighed in confusion!

Find out why she refused to have sex with him in PART 2.

ESET Responds to EFCC’s Arrest of 792 Cryptocurrency Fraud Suspects in Lagos

ESET Reacts to EFCC's Arrest of 792 Cryptocurrency Fraud Suspects (2)
The suspects arrested by the EFCC

ESET, a global leader in digital security, has provided insights on the rising threat of online scams.

In a significant operation earlier in the week, Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), conducted a large-scale raid on the Big Leaf Building in Lagos, identified as a key hub for fraudulent activities.

According to EFCC’s account, 792 individuals were arrested during the operation, including 148 Chinese and 40 Filipino nationals, all suspected of involvement in a global fraud network.

The suspects are alleged to have operated a complex scam ring that deceived victims through fraudulent romance offers and cryptocurrency investment schemes.

The Big Leaf Building served as the central location for a call center operation, primarily targeting individuals from the Americas and Europe.

The Nigerian accomplices-initiated contact with victims, while foreign nationals managed the deceptive schemes, coercing victims into transferring funds.

During the raid, the EFCC seized computers, mobile phones, and vehicles. Authorities are now collaborating with international law enforcement agencies to investigate potential connections to larger organized crime syndicates.

This operation represents a significant step in combatting the escalating threat of online fraud and transnational criminal activity.

In a media briefing held on Monday, December 16th, 2024, at the EFCC Lagos office, Wilson Uwujaren, the director of Public Affairs, revealed that Nigerian accomplices were recruited to target victims through phishing campaigns, utilizing platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and Telegram.

Reacting to the development, Mr. Olufemi Ake, ESET’s managing director for West Africa, emphasized that fraudsters often use dating sites and social media to assume false identities, making it increasingly difficult to detect their deceptive tactics.

These criminals frequently employ psychological manipulation and advanced artificial intelligence to build trust with their victims, further complicating efforts to catch them.

Ake also noted that many of the Nigerian suspects involved in these fraudulent activities were unaware of the true identity of their employers, as they did not receive official letters of appointment or payments from corporate accounts.

This, he argued, highlights the need for employees to regularly vet their employers’ operations to avoid being ensnared in fraudulent schemes.

“As online criminals become more skilled at exploiting digital platforms, Ake advised individuals to remain cautious and informed to protect themselves from falling prey to increasingly sophisticated fraud tactics”, he said.

He recommended verifying identities through trusted channels, being skeptical of unsolicited investment opportunities, especially those involving cryptocurrencies, and ensuring that their devices are equipped with up-to-date cybersecurity applications. “If it seems too good to be true, it probably is,” Olufemi Ake concluded.
