BREAKING: Riot Police Take over NHIS Office as Workers Protest Against Executive Secretary Reinstated by President Buhari

A riot police squad on Monday morning took over the headquarters of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) in Abuja.
They were dispatched to office as workers continued their protest over the reinstatement of the indicted Executive Secretary, Usman Yusuf.
President Muhammadu Buhari had on Tuesday last week, February 6, 2018, reinstated Prof. Yusuf, overriding the recommendation of the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole.
Adewole had suspended Yusuf in June 2017, following allegations of gross misconduct and is under probe for alleged N919m fraud.
He was found guilty of alleged offences that ranged from nepotism to theft of public funds.
