Armed men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen on Tuesday invaded Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, injuring officials and those waiting to get married at the registry of the Council.
According to available information, the rampaging herdsmen were fully armed.
They were said to be no fewer than 30 in number.
One of those injured was the Council’s Agriculture Officer, Simon Johnson.
Johnson was said to have received machete cuts.
Would-be brides and grooms were said to have fled in different directions as the headsmen unleashed terror on the Council premises.
