IPOB Blasts Igbo Leaders

Published

on

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Saturday lampooned Igbo leaders, accusing them of undermining the collective interest of the Igbos.

The group, however, exonerated Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, saying that the rest are mere errand boys for Abuja and the caliphate.

IPOB in a statement made available to journalists in Awka by the Media and Publicity secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, accused Igbo leaders of being visibly terrified of their Fulani masters and would not want to do anything to jeopardise their cherished lucrative relationship with their masters in the North.

The statement said: “The supposedly apex socio-cultural organisation, Ohaneaze Ndigbo is considerably worse. We never thought Ohanaeze Ndigbo couldn’t sink any lower after the shambolic Chief Gary Enwo-Igariwe administration but what is confronting us today in Nnia Nwodo is a man who was made by the North and prepared to supervise the genocidal massacre of his own people in order to ensure the interest of the North is always protected or better put, to ensure that Igbos remain subservient to the North in perpetuity.

“The problem of bad leadership in Igboland started immediately after the war. From the imposition of the traitor Ukpabi Asika as the governor of the then East Central State, who openly campaigned alongside Yakubu Gowon against Ojukwu, Igbos have never had good honest leaders. They have honest social critics and commentators but rarely good leaders.

“Every leader you see in Igbo land today was placed in office by the caliphate. The Fulani caliphate decides who becomes governor, senator, Ohanaeze Ndigbo president general and so on. What you have in Igboland are hungry informants masquerading as leaders.

“These supposedly Igbo leaders are on record as being the first set of people to condemn IPOB and invite Hausa Fulani soldiers to come and kill Biafrans. Willie Obiano, Okezie Ikpeazu, Dave Umahi, Rochas Okorocha, Nnia Nwodo and a few senators directly instigated Operation Python Dance II.

“Many people don’t know that IPOB has even more significant presence in Igweocha (Rivers State) than anywhere else in Biafra land but you don’t hear Ijaw, Ikwerre Igbo, Ndoni or even Ogoni politicians castigate IPOB the way Igbo politicians do on a regular basis. That tells you all you need to know about where their loyalty lies.

“Yoruba elders never publicly condemned OPC, Arewa Consultative Forum till date. Hausas have not offered any categorical condemnation of Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen but Igbo leaders themselves canvassed this m Fulani government to deploy soldiers to the South East to kill innocent agitators.

“These same leaders never ran to Buhari to send soldiers to stop Fulani herdsmen from slaughtering our people all over Enugu State. But when it came to IPOB agitating to free everybody from the Nigerian bondage we all are in, they found the courage to invite the army to invade Igboland.”

On the issue of the group’s rejection of late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, IPOB said: “History is replete with his accomplishments and miscalculations.

“Zik was an impediment to Igbo and Biafra progress within Nigeria hence our repudiation of all that he stood for.

“Zik’s dream and greed to lead the world’s biggest black nation just to rub shoulders with the western leaders put us in this mess. It was that unrealisable aspiration and unproductive ambition that ensured we ended up being led by people whose value system is irreconcilable with ours.

“Despite his undoubted brilliance and intellect, he was not a very good politician. He remains till date the only person that led an independence struggle and never got the chance to lead the country after independence. Unfortunately, present-day Igbo leaders have continued in that failed politics of Zik.

“That is why today we are discussing cows instead of industries, science and technology, begging Fulanis to stop killing their fellow Nigerians and to allow the existence of Nigeria to be negotiated into acceptable standard of governance to usher in political stability, economic growth and modern development.”

IPOB stressed that the only way out is to dissolve Nigeria, saying that anything short of it is cosmetic and will be resisted by the group.

King Charles Reportedly “Really Unwell” And Funeral Plans Are Currently Being Reviewed

Published

on

King Charles III’s health is causing concern for friends and the palace as he continues to battle cancer.

“Speaking to friends of the king in recent weeks about his health, the most common response is … ‘It’s not good,’” Tom Sykes of the Daily Beast reported Thursday, April 25.

A friend of the monarch claimed Charles “is determined to beat it and they are throwing everything at it,” adding, “Everyone is staying optimistic, but he is really very unwell. More than they are letting on.”

Royal writer Tina Brown also hinted at the monarch’s health struggles, writing recently that Charles’ cancer has put Prince William and Kate Middleton “in frightening proximity to ascending the throne just when they had hoped for a span of years to parent their children out of the public eye.”

“The prospect of it, I am told, is causing them intense anxiety.”

Sykes also reported that the king’s funeral plans, codenamed “Operation Menai Bridge”, are currently being reviewed.

A separate document that states what went well at Queen Elizabeth’s September 2022 funeral and what could be done better the next time a monarch dies is also circulating, according to the Daily Beast.

All the sources emphasized that royal funeral plans are constantly in review. However, one former staffer in particular conceded that Charles’ health woes have given his plans a different urgency.

“The plans have been dusted off and are actively being kept up to date,” the former staffer explained.

“It’s no more than what you would expect given the king has been diagnosed with cancer. But the circulation of them has certainly focused minds.”

Buckingham Palace announced in February that after undergoing surgery for a benign prostate enlargement, it was discovered that the king has cancer.

We hope the king gets well soon.

Many prisoners serving time at the Suleja Correctional Centre, located in Suleja Local Government of Niger state, fled the facility after a rainstorm brought down a part of the inner fencing.

This incident happened as a result of the heavy rainfall which fell on Wednesday night. This led to a cell being torn down, providing incarcerated individuals with a chance at freedom.

Reporters gathered that security forces fired many shots in the air, attempting to scare the inmates out of hiding.

While the State Comptroller of Prisons declined to speak to the press, it has been noted that security has been beefed up on the Minna-Suleja and Suleja-Kaduna roads, including the Madalla axis to Abuja road, which is a likely escape route out of the state for the inmates.
