APC Laments: Our twitter handle used to misrepresent us

The All Progressive Congress on Friday raise the alarm again over what it described as illegal use of its social account Twitter to make statements that are opposed to the party’s views.
The Deputy Director of Publicity at the National Secretariat of the party said recent claims by an aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan Mr Reno Omokri, who alleged that the APC is seeking friendship with him are totally false.
The party said Omokris claim stemmed from unauthorized use of its Twitter handle @APCNigeria by one Phillip Obin who handled its Twitter handle in the build up to the 2015 election.
The party claimed that Obin had arrogated the ownership of the social media account to himself using it to make statements that are inimical to the interests of the APC.
The party explained, “The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to false allegations by a Mr. Reno Omokri, which was contained in an April 5, 2018 report published on the website of Vanguard Newspapers, titled: ‘APC secretly reaching out to me for friendship – Reno’.”
