HoS Partners OSHA Association on Safety Awareness for Civil Servant


The Office of the Head of Service of the Federation, the engine of governance and the administrative machinery for implementing the Federal Government’s Polices, acknowledged Occupational Safety and Health -OSH as key factor in driving the safety of the civil service.
Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita, Head of Service of the Federation represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Service Welfare Office, made the remark in her welcome address at Orietation seminar organised by OSHAssociation Nigeria Region at Abuja recently.
In line with the new structure of the head of service to create OSH Department under the Service to implement and promote international safety best practices in the civil service.
“I must commend OSHA Association for this kind gesture towards improving the competency of our personnel in the area of Occupational Safety and Health,” the Perm Sec Said.
Dr. Dalhatu Mohammed the Regional President of the Association, appreciated the effort of the Head of Service and the opportunity created for the Association to impact safety skills and knowledge to their staff, and promised to partner in ensuring that, necessary tools required to ensure safety in the Federal Civil Service will be provided.
The participants were overwhelmed with the skills they grabbed at the seminar and promised to put in their best to ensure safety at workplaces.
