Seven days to Ward Congresses of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, a chairmanship aspirant, Mr. Silas Buowe, has reportedly escaped, by the whiskers, an assassination attempt on him by suspected assassins.

The chairmanship aspirant, who’s the founder of Faith Teaching Bible Church, was allegedly shot at Oleh, headquarters of Isoko South Local Government Area on Wednesday.

Buowe, who was a former member of the Delta State House of Assembly according to BigPen Online, was shot at a close-range in his abdomen along Emiye road at Oleh.

A witness and relative said he was at Forest Holiday Hotel area in Emiye road for a haircut when the unknown assassins, who were laying an ambush, opened fire on his vehicle.

The relative disclosed that the aspirant, who has a large APC follower in the state, was intercepted by the assailants who riddled his car with bullets.

“He went to Forest Holiday Hotel area to have a haircut when they attacked him. After the haircut, just as he was about leaving with his car, one Jetta car blocked him and opened fire on him.
