Why Mike Adenuga’s son, lover clashed
Eniola, the son of telecommunications cum business mogul, Mike Adenuga, has been accused of allegedly abducting his daughter, Athena.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the 28-year-old, accompanied by some policemen, allegedly went to pick up the three-year-old at her school in the Lekki area of Lagos State on Friday, May 18, 2018.
He was alleged to have refused to release the child to her mother despite a court order which reportedly granted him access to the child only on weekends.
Our correspondent gathered that Eniola and the child’s mother, Damilola, dated during which the 25-year-old became pregnant and had the child.
Disagreement was said to have broken out between the duo and their families, resulting in a legal battle for the custody of the child.
Our correspondent learnt that in September 2017, a Tinubu Magistrate’s Court gave an interim order, which awarded custody of the child to the mother.
While Eniola was given unrestricted access to the child, he was, however, asked to pick her every Friday and return her to the mother on Sunday.
The arrangement was said to have been running smoothly until on May 18 when the father allegedly took Athena from school.
In a petition to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, the Falana and Falana Chambers, which is representing Damilola, said Eniola’s action was “tantamount to abduction.”
The law firm explained that the violation of the court order could result in a breach of the peace, urging Imohimi to bring Eniola to book.
The petition read in part, “On Friday, May 18, 2018, our client dropped off Athena at school (Marymount School, Rachael Nwagwu Street, Lekki) around 8.30am, as usual. About 2pm same day, our client returned to the said school to pick up her daughter. To our client’s dismay, the school told her that Mr Eniola Adenuga in company with some mobile policemen came to the school and forcefully took Athena away without her school bag.
“Our client immediately called Mr Eniola Adenuga to find out why he took the child away without her consent, contrary to the order of court that our client remain in custody of Athena and access given to Mr Adenuga every week from Friday to Sunday in company with Athena’s nanny.
“Mr Adenuga did not take the calls or respond to message sent to him by our client till date, safe for his one sentence response that he had taken Athena. Till date, our client does not know the whereabouts of Athena and has confirmed from the school that Athena is not in school.
“Our client is distressed as the conduct of Mr Eniola Adenuga is likely to cause a breach of public peace.”
A family member, who asked not to be identified, said Damiola had been traumatised by the incident.
He said, “The arrangement was that the mother picked the child from school and Eniola takes her from the mother. On that day, the mother was told that Eniola came to the school and took her.
“Since that time, the school authorities said they had been sending her homework to the father through email. All efforts the mother made to reach him had been abortive. The only time he responded, he merely said he had switched custody to himself. We are talking about a three-year-old girl that has never been without her mother for this long. The mother is a pharmacist who has her own source of livelihood.”
Damiola confirmed the incident to our correspondent, but declined further comment.
“Please, just help me get my child back,” she said.
The school’s owner, Dr Adeola Owodunni, said she could not speak with our correspondent on the matter
Eniola, when contacted on Tuesday, promised to call back.
PUNCH Metro was expecting his call when one Deji, who claimed to be Eniola’s friend and lawyer, called to speak for him.
Deji said there was no issue of abduction because Eniola picked the child on a Friday.
He explained that he decided to keep her because an application for an extended custody (beyond weekend) of the child was truncated after the case was transferred.
He said, “What he did cannot be said to be illegal. He has every right to his child. The child was born after a relationship between the parties, which did not work out. If not for the case in court, this matter would not have got to this level.
“There is an application before the court for an extended custody. Midway into that, the case was reassigned because they (Damiola’s lawyers) wrote a petition (against the magistrate). The case has been transferred without a ruling on Eniola’s application (for extended custody).
“Usually, he takes the child on Friday and returns her on Sunday. So, the child was taken on Friday, but on the Wednesday/Thursday preceding that Friday, the case was transferred. So, already, the child is with Eniola. The transfer coincided with that time; so, the thing is hanging.
“He took the child on the Friday that he usually picks her. Later that Friday, the (court) registrar called and said the case had been transferred to Ikeja (court). Ikeja needs to assign it to a new judge, who will go over the case file.”

ESET Responds to EFCC’s Arrest of 792 Cryptocurrency Fraud Suspects in Lagos
ESET, a global leader in digital security, has provided insights on the rising threat of online scams.
In a significant operation earlier in the week, Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), conducted a large-scale raid on the Big Leaf Building in Lagos, identified as a key hub for fraudulent activities.
According to EFCC’s account, 792 individuals were arrested during the operation, including 148 Chinese and 40 Filipino nationals, all suspected of involvement in a global fraud network.
The suspects are alleged to have operated a complex scam ring that deceived victims through fraudulent romance offers and cryptocurrency investment schemes.
The Big Leaf Building served as the central location for a call center operation, primarily targeting individuals from the Americas and Europe.
The Nigerian accomplices-initiated contact with victims, while foreign nationals managed the deceptive schemes, coercing victims into transferring funds.
During the raid, the EFCC seized computers, mobile phones, and vehicles. Authorities are now collaborating with international law enforcement agencies to investigate potential connections to larger organized crime syndicates.
This operation represents a significant step in combatting the escalating threat of online fraud and transnational criminal activity.
In a media briefing held on Monday, December 16th, 2024, at the EFCC Lagos office, Wilson Uwujaren, the director of Public Affairs, revealed that Nigerian accomplices were recruited to target victims through phishing campaigns, utilizing platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and Telegram.
Reacting to the development, Mr. Olufemi Ake, ESET’s managing director for West Africa, emphasized that fraudsters often use dating sites and social media to assume false identities, making it increasingly difficult to detect their deceptive tactics.
These criminals frequently employ psychological manipulation and advanced artificial intelligence to build trust with their victims, further complicating efforts to catch them.
Ake also noted that many of the Nigerian suspects involved in these fraudulent activities were unaware of the true identity of their employers, as they did not receive official letters of appointment or payments from corporate accounts.
This, he argued, highlights the need for employees to regularly vet their employers’ operations to avoid being ensnared in fraudulent schemes.
“As online criminals become more skilled at exploiting digital platforms, Ake advised individuals to remain cautious and informed to protect themselves from falling prey to increasingly sophisticated fraud tactics”, he said.
He recommended verifying identities through trusted channels, being skeptical of unsolicited investment opportunities, especially those involving cryptocurrencies, and ensuring that their devices are equipped with up-to-date cybersecurity applications. “If it seems too good to be true, it probably is,” Olufemi Ake concluded.
Having a healthy looking skin is a priceless thing to possess for everyone be you a male, or a female.
And scientifically it is required of us to clean our pores so that those dead cells can be removed and a more beautiful skin can be reborn.
Although so many people think that a lot of money has to be spent on actually actualizing that, well it’s not totally true.
Because with the “do it yourself” hacks, that’s the DIY hacks, you can spend just a little money in getting the right ingredients you need to put together what you need for a healthy and beautiful skin instead of giving out a huge sum to purchase one.
So here, I’ll be showing you how to make your own glow scrub from this simple ingredients.

- Sea salt (for a less sensitive skin) or Sugar(for sensitive skins)
1 cup is okay.
- Essential oil like (almond oil, olive oil, or any essential oil of your choice).
12 drops or enough to saturate your salt or sugar quantity.
- Vitamin E
2 to 4 drops.
- Any scent supplement of your choice (which is very optional).
Just enough drops to your taste.
METHOD
Note that if you have a very soft and sensitive skin, then you might just have to stick to using sugar instead of the sea salt. And if not, use the sea salt.
- Pour your salt or sugar into a clean bowl.
- Add the drops of your essential oil and start mixing.
- Add your vitamin E and mix
- Add your scent supplement and mix
By now it will be in a moist form.
Fill it into an airtight container and keep ready for use.
HOW IT’S USED.
Now before use, make sure to soak or moist your whole body with water, then get the amount of scrub you need into your palm and start scrubbing all over your body. Keep scrubbing till the particles are dissolved and you feel a smoother skin.
Now you can rinse it off and use your soap to finish bathing.
Do this 3 times a week as it is expected to exfoliate atleast thrice a week.
So try this and give your skin a more radiating look at a more affordable and easy way.
When you’re in a relationship, it’s very likely you want to know if he or she is the one.
“The one” here literally means the one you want to settle down with because there might be more than one person who you can like, or who you like, But there has to be just one person for you to settle down with.
So here are some signs to tell you if he or she is that one person for you.
1. Your dreams and goals are in synch:
Okay, your goals and values together might not be 100 percent exactly in sync, but you both share a very good considerable amount of goals together.

When you’re dating the one persay, you just have that love that compels you to want to see and bring out the best in them.
So their Imperfections are never a deal breaker for you. It could be how they look or behave, but instead of that scaring you away, it pulls you closer to them to help them be better. Same goes for them seeing you the same way.

Being in a relationship requires more than love. It requires understanding and the willingness to work together even in times of conflict. So when you’re dating the one, it just feels right that you both are always committed to making the relationship work especially in bad times. So that commitment towards it, shows you that you’re with the one unlike situations where some persons easily quit the relationship when things go rough.

This is one very valuable point as it shows your deep level of love, understanding, and commitment towards each other whether emotionally, financially, physically and otherwise. If you both have faced some challenges together, and you always find a way to overcome it and still stick together, it means you are with “The one” no doubt.
6. You’re always featured in their future:
When you’re with the one, you just notice they are always including you in their plans and everything that’s very important to their lives. This shows how important they see and take you, and also how they really want you to be a part of them. The same goes for you. You just see yourself including them in your plans and future.
7. They talk about you and show you off:
Once you’re with the one, you’ll notice how well they show you off to their family and friends. They don’t keep you a secret as they’ll always want the people close to them to know about you. And they’ll often brag about you. Same goes for how you feel and act towards that one person you really desire.
8. You just feel it deep within:
When you’re with that one person, your guts just tells you so. Deep within everything about them just sits right with you and you feel it that he or she is the one. And truthfully, your instincts rarely mislead you. So you just trust it.
