UNDP, UNIDO, NITDA, NCC, DFID Bosses to Speak at Nigeria Innovation Summit
The organisers of the Nigeria Innovation Summit (www.innovationsummit.ng) recently announced its first line up of speakers for the 2018 summit which will take place on September 25-26,2018 at the ventures Park, Abuja and also at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre Abuja respectively with the theme: Building a Culture of Innovation in Nigeria for Sustainable Economic Growth.
While speaking on this, the CEO, Emerging Media, Mr Kenneth Omeruo, said” We are excited to announce our first line up of speakers for this year’s summit in Abuja, these distinguished speakers are drawn from local and international organisations who are fostering economic development and playing key role in the global innovation ecosystem around the world and in Nigeria.
“The quality of speakers we have for this year simple defines how important it is for Nigeria to step up her game in building a culture of innovation”.
He also explained that following the call for speakers made earlier in the year, the organizers received several interests mainly from organizations and institutions in many parts of the world to be part of the Nigeria Innovation Summit.
“This is an insight to how the world is seeing what Nigeria can become with Innovation if the right steps are taken,” Omeruo added.

Mr Omeruo also mentioned that Nigeria Innovation Summit is partnering with the South Africa Innovation summit to promote innovation, economic and trade opportunities between the two countries who are some of the biggest economies in Africa.

The Director of Programs for the Nigeria Innovation Summit(www.innovationsummit.ng), Mr Tony Ajah explained that businesses, organizations, institutions are already indicating their interest to participate in both the Nigeria Innovation Summit and also to leverage the South Africa Innovation Summit to promote their products and services. And therefore encouraged a lot more to participate.
This year Emerging Platforms Abuja,the owners of Ventures Park are the Summit partners and host of Day 1 of the Nigeria Innovation Summit where Collaborations to drive innovation through the Nigeria Start-up Ecosystem will be discussed.
The Nigeria Innovation Summit in its 3rd year is an annual event that focuses on the need for the country, businesses, organisations, entrepreneurs in Nigeria to become more innovative and use innovation to drive sustainable development.
This Summit helps Nigeria embrace innovation and move in the direction of digital transformation through the use of Emerging Technologies and Trends, Research, Development, Commercialization, Entrepreneurship and Investments as the key drivers of an innovation ecosystem.

Stakeholders Head to Enugu for first Southeast Educators Conference
Stakeholders in the education circle are warming up for the maiden edition of Southeast Educators’ Conference 2024(SEEC’24).
The two-day SEEC’24 scheduled to hold 18th & 19th, April 2024 at Nike Lake Resort, Enugu under theme: Future-‘Focused Learning – Igniting the Competitive Edge’ promises to host key players in the education sector with a potential attendance of over 500 delegates.
The conference will feature a diverse lineup of speakers, covering topics ranging from holistic learning approaches to cutting-edge technology integration.
Speaking ahead of the conference, Mrs Doris Chinedu-Okoro, CEO, Evergreen Group, said SEEC’24 is the first of its kind in the Southeast region, presenting a historic opportunity for stakeholders to pioneer positive change in the local education sector.
“It brings together diverse perspectives and innovative ideas,fostering collaboration and networking among educators and stakeholders.
Hundreds of delegates will be in attendance.
“SEEC’24 is dedicated to exploring transformative practices, emphasising holistic learning, technology integration, global citizenship, life-long learning, and community engagement”, she said.
Mr. Osita Chidioka, the former Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation, who recently launched an online mentorship and leadership programme for Nigerian youths named Mekaria Mentorship Programme (MMP) Foundation Course, will deliver the keynote at SEEC’24.
Prof. Pieter Verdegem; Dr. Joy Isa, Mrs. Bukola Adewuiyi, Lady Uju Dike, Fr. John Njorteah, Alex Onyia, Rotimi Eyitayo, Rhoda Odigboh, Elfrida Diete-Spiff Omole, Dr. ChibuezeLawrence Ofobuike, Ify Obidi-Essien, Dr. Abimbola Ogundere, Angelina Ikeako, Odetola Ebenezer Israel and OgochukwuOnyia, are some of the speakers lined up for the event.
The Evergreen Group CEO added that the conference thrives on a vision to create a dynamic platform that equips educators with the tools and knowledge needed to make a lasting impact on the educational landscape of South-Eastern Nigeria.

The Evangelical Church of Yahweh (ECoY) is set to celebrate its Golden Jubilee Anniversary, signifying 50 years of ministry.
ECoY is a full Pentecostal and prophetic church established February 4 1973, by Apostle (Dr.) Theophilus Olabayo in Ilorin, Kwara State with parishes in several states in Nigeria, United States and Britain.
The founder of the ministry is one of the major prophets in Nigeria that has given accurate prophecies about the country and its leaders.
As part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations, the ministry will host a 3-day event starting with a Football Match on Friday, February 3 in the morning and a Praise Evening, which will feature different seasoned music ministers, later in the day still on the 3rd.
This event will be followed by a colloquium on Saturday, February 4, and as a landmark celebration for the ministry, the conference will host speakers from different ministries to present series of lectures on “The Prophetic Ministry and the Pentecostal Movement in Nigeria: 50 years evolution of the Evangelical Church of Yahweh”.
The Rt. Reverend (Prof) Dapo Asaju, Diocesan Bishop of Ilesa Diocese Anglican Communion and Bishop Theologian, Anglican Communion is the keynote speaker for the occasion, while renowned religious leaders such as Apostle Dr. John Amarachukwu Daniel, President/Provost, Melchisedek Graduate Bible Academy, Prophet Bolaji Oduntayo, Deputy Shepherd, Disciples of Christ Ministry, Cherubim and Seraphim Church Movement Church (Ayo Ni O), Dr. Tokunbo Bankole, and Pastor Joshua Olabayo, Pastor Evangelical Church of Yahweh, London will lead other discussions. The conference is scheduled to be a time of celebration, reflection, and re-dedication to the mission of the Evangelical Church of Yahweh.
On Sunday, February 5 the church will host a thanksgiving service to wrap up the anniversary celebrations.
It will be an avenue to appreciate God for his faithfulness to the ministry in its 50 years of its existence.
Speaking ahead of the celebration, the Organising Committee Chairman, Bishop Enighokhana Oni, said “This 50th Anniversary marks a turning point in the physical and spiritual development of the ministry. It will give us an ample opportunity to re-evaluate the past, and to look forward to the expansion and winning souls for Christ, in accordance with the vision of the ministry”.

Shehu who is 29 years old is a Bachelor’s degree holder in Economics at Schellhammer Business school in Spain, and also a master’s degree holder in international relations from Webster University Netherlands. He tied the knot yesterday which was the 23rd of July with his fiancee Yacine, She’s 22 years old and a Bachelor’s degree holder in hospitality and management from the University of Surrey at the United kingdom.
