Nigerian e-commerce and e-payments company NetPlus announces NetPOS 2 Certification    

Nigerian e-commerce and e-payments company NetPlus has announced the completion of certification of NetPOS 2, a next generation Mobile POS device and app to drive payment acceptance in the Nigerian market

The new payment terminals merge the best capabilities of a traditional POS and the price effeciencies of Mobile POS providing greater merchant experience, simpler transaction processing and detailed reconciliation reports.

NetPlus is bringing to market both the MPOS Bluetoothpayment terminal and Standalone deskop miniPOS terminal; both supporting full chip-and-pin (Visa, MasterCard, UnionPay, Verve) and contactless (payWave, payPass, ApplePay, SamsungPay) acceptance, where available.

NetPlus has also published its own Mobile App to cater for the merchants specific needs. Merchants are able to accept payment, perform refunds, transact cash-advances and allow customers to perform balance inquiries.

This innovation for merchant acceptance caters to various different categories of merchants groups – Retail, F&B, logistics, transportation, and insurance amongst other segements.

According to the COO of NetPlus, Adekunbi Ademiluyi, “with NetPOS 2, we hope we can bridge the gap between price and performance. The new device which comes at a fraction of the cost of the traditional POS devices, solves the problems associated with mPOS, such as Bluetooth connectivity and in-built printers which has made adoption very limited in the Nigerian marker despite the price benefit.
