How to Move Home Appliances Without Damaging Them

The most difficult items to move from home to home are your appliances. That said, when you want to take your appliances with you, a little planning will go a long way in helping you move while also mitigating stress often associated with the moving your appliances.
Consider these five tips shared by Jumia, Nigeria’s No. 1 Shopping Destination, to help you move your appliances.
Plan ahead by taking measurements
The first thing you should do is measure the size of your appliances to see if they will fit through the door. In some cases, you may need to remove the door to get clearance or bring the appliance in through a larger frame such as a sliding glass door. Once you have the dimensions and planned out the move, you can proceed to prepare the space and the appliances for the task.
Clear the floors
Clearing the floors is one task that should not be overlooked. Dirt, stones, or other foreign objects can damage your floors more than the appliances themselves. Vacuum, sweep or mop the area where you will be bringing in the appliance.
Flooring protection is a must
Once there are no foreign objects in the area, you can put down a protective covering where you will be moving the appliances. While you can use cardboard to protect a clean floor, it is the least effective way. A much better way to protect your floor is to use leftover carpet pieces or runners.
Prep the appliances
Now that the home you are moving your appliances into is ready to accommodate them safely, you will need to prepare the appliances by removing food and place it in a portable cooler. unplug the fridge and you can do this for every other item in your home.
Don’t move appliances alone
Moving your appliances is not an easy task, so one of the most important things you can do to simplify your move is to ask for help from friends or family. Having more hands on deck will enable the load to be distributed more widely. Having fresh arms will make the move safer and easier.
Make your move
Now that you are excited about your move, and you have properly prepared both space and the appliances, you are ready for the easiest (and hardest) part: the physical labour.
With confidence, you will be able to move fridges, stoves, washing machines, washers, and dryers into your new place, knowing that your floors, walls, and appliances will be in the same condition as they are now.

“Jesus + Nothing Worship” Leaves Lasting Impact, Amplifying the Message of Christ’s Sacrifice and Resurrection
Reporter: SANDRA ANI

The Love of God in Christ (LOGIC) Church successfully hosted its inaugural “Jesus + Nothing Worship” on Easter Friday, leaving attendees deeply moved and spiritually uplifted.
The powerful evening of gospel music served as a profound reminder of the sacrifice and glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ, emphasising the core message that through a sober Friday came a Good Friday for all.

The LOGIC Church headquarters in Lekki, Lagos, was filled with an atmosphere of heartfelt worship as a phenomenal lineup of Nigeria’s leading gospel artists and emerging talents took to the stage. Award-winning ministers such as Timi Dakolo and Greatman Takit, alongside Neon Adejo, SMJ, Noble G, Steve Hills, Lily Perez, Joxie, Anderson Qozan, Pastor Victor Paul, EmekaSongz, Flo, Dorcas Moore, Magpsalms, Mera Owili, Gerald Bishung, spoken word poetry from Phebe Lion, comedy from Larry J and the wonderful Evolution Children’s Choir, delivered soul-stirring performances that resonated with the central theme of redemption through Jesus Christ.
Apostle Dr. Flourish Peters, Lead Pastor and Apostolic Head of The LOGIC Churches Global, declared the “Jesus + Nothing Worship” an impactful success and announced that it would become an annual program.
He emphasised that this worship session is intentionally focused on Jesus Christ, the message of salvation, and providing a vital platform to unveil the gospel talents within The LOGIC Church.

“‘Jesus + Nothing Worship’ has been a truly unifying experience, allowing us to collectively focus on the profound significance of Jesus’ death and the abundant life we have in His resurrection,” stated Apostle Dr. Flourish Peters. “It is our vision to create a consistent platform where the power of music can amplify the core message of the Gospel and provide an opportunity for the incredible music ministers within our church to impact lives .”
Building on the momentum of the successful 2024 “Jesus + Nothing Conference,”the ‘Jesus + Nothing Worship’ further solidified The LOGIC Church’s mission to cultivate a family centered on grace and faith, where the transformative Love of God in Christ is tangibly felt.
The impactful “Jesus + Nothing Worship” event powerfully reiterates that the resurrection stands as the very essence of the Christian faith. As Apostle Dr. Flourish Peters eloquently stated, “Without an empty grave, there is no Christian faith. Our faith is fundamentally premised on this singular, undeniable truth – the empty grave. This is what distinguishes our faith; while over 4000 religions exist, only one points to a vacated tomb. Ours is the unique faith where the very person we worship lives within us. We are truly elated that through the resounding success of ‘Jesus + Nothing Worship,’ we were able to bring christocentric worship to the masses.”

The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of Christian faith. In commemoration of this, the Love of God in Christ (LOGIC) Church is hosting the first edition of the Jesus + Nothing Worship, an uplifting evening dedicated to expressing the message of the death, burial and resurrection in music.
This event will be held on, Friday, April 18, 2025, by 4PM, at The LOGIC Church headquarters in Lekki, Lagos.

The event offers worshippers an opportunity to connect with the essence of the Gospel in worship.
The Lead Pastor and Apostolic Head of the LOGIC Church, Apostle Flourish Peters, asserts that worship is a significant part of the New Testament believers’ experience in Christ.
“As a Christocentric faith community, this event is a great way to celebrate the gift of Christ, who laid down his life for our redemption. Good Friday is a great time to have a worship celebration like this,” notes Peters.
On the context for the event, he notes, “Nothing speaks to the culture of a people like the music they listen to.
Jesus + Nothing Worship will contribute to shaping and mainstreaming a culture of christocentric worship, where the Gospel of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection is platformed through worship.
With Nigeria’s young demography heavily influenced by the music and the arts, Christocentric music is a powerful tool in pointing this generation to Christ,”
Guest ministers expected include; Ministers Neon Adejo, Greatman Takit, Victor Thompson, Timi Dakolo, Samuel Giveson (SMJ), Noble G, Steve Hills, and Lily Perez. Others include Ministers Joxie, Anderson Qozan, Pastor Victor Paul, EmekaSongz, Flo, Dorcas Moore, Magpsalms, Mera Owili, Gerald Bishung, Phebe Lion, and the vibrant Evolution Children’s Choir.
