Super Eagles’ head coach, Gernot Rohr, has left out captain John Mikel Obi, from his squad for the upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Libya this month.

Rohr has invited in-form Ahmed Musa and 23 other players for the two matches.

Alex Iwobi also makes a return, along with William Troost-Ekong and Ola Aina. All three missed the 3-0 win over Seychelles in Mahe last month due to injury.

Goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa is the only home–based professional.

Nigeria host the first leg at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Saturday, October 13, with the return scheduled for Sfax, Tunisia on Tuesday, October 16.

All invited players are to report in the Akwa Ibom State capital on Monday, October 8, 2018.
