At the Federal High court 5 Abuja penultimate Thursday the 10th of January 2019, the first hearing of the case instituted on behalf of the gubernatorial candidate of the APC Enugu state George Ogara Tabugbo, against the Sen. Ayogu Eze and Others, has held.

In the case under the Hon. Justice I Ekwo, George Ogara is praying the court to stop Ayogu Eze from parading himself as the candidate of the APC for the Enugu state governorship elections, and declare him (Ogara) as the authentic candidate based on the outcome of the primaries conducted in the state by the party.

After the hearing from parties involved, Justice Ekwo has adjourned the case to the 5th of February for judgement.

It’ll be recalled that the unilateral declaration by Sen. Ayogu Eze as the candidate of the APC through the primaries he conducted and announced by himself, has polarized the APC in Enugu State, with no candidate yet to be recognized by INEC as gubernatorial candidate for the party in the forthcoming elections.
