SAD! Property worth millions gutted by fire in Enugu [Photos + Video]

It was saddening for a family in New Haven, Enugu State, whose property worth millions of Naira were gutted by fire, mid-afternoon on Sunday, February 17, 2019.
GRASSROOTS correspondent who was at the venue of the incident gathered from eyewitness account that the incident happened behind a bakery factory.


“Nobody knew what transpired,” a resident who identified herself as Mama Nkechi, told GRASSROOTS, “We just saw stench of smoke coming out of one of the rooms in the one story building.


“Some families were present while some were still in their different churches. The Neighbourhood have been screaming and asking for help”.
However, our Correspondent gathered that in less than 20 minutes the incident started the firemen from the Enugu State Fire Service were there to rescue the building.


“We thank God for the quick response from Enugu State Fire Service as some flats are being rescued at the moment”, the resident said.


Our Correspondent gathered that no life was lost to the incident.
