The INEC Returning Officer for the Senatorial District, Prof D. O. Ohajianya after collation of the final results from the local govt areas, declared him duly elected in the rerun election on Monday, having defeated his closed rival, Patrick Ndubueze of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
In his remarks, Uwajumogu thanked the people of Okigwe zone for re-electing him to return to the Red Chamber.
He promised to attract monumental infrastructural projects and empowerment to the zone.
“My victory at the polls was a victory for the people of the South East,” he added.
