Grassroot leadership: Newly elected executives of Nsukka LGA building material association sworn-in

The Executive Chairman of Nsukka LGA Chief Hon. Patrick Omeje Jnr. On Wednesday the 24th day of April, 2019 successfully swore in the newly elected Executives of the Association after a protracted leadership tussle in the market.
Chief Patrick Omeje Jnr. in a show of his leadership dexterity took the bull by the horn and broke the jinx culminating to the successful election that was conducted on the 13th of April, 2019.
The Executive Chairman in his wisdom and total commitment to resolve the leadership tussle constituted a five man electoral committee chaired by the Vice Chairman of the Council Hon. Cosmas Agbo, who exhibited his political intelligence in ensuring a most peaceful, free, fair and credible election.
The newly sworn in are as follows:
1. Chairman – Com. Okonkwo George C.
2. Vice Chairman – Arua Camillus I.
3. Secretary – Eze Azubuike
4. Asst. Secretary – Ugwueze Chinweuba
5. Fin. Secretary – Onah Aloysius
6. Treasurer – Ezede Silas
7. D. O. S. – Ezeh Cletus O
8. PRO – Eze Kenneth U.
9. Provost – Attah Ifeanyi A


The Chairman of the Association, Comrade George Okonkwo in his speech, thanked the Executive Chairman of Nsukka LGA Chief Patrick Omeje Jnr. for stepping in courageously to put to an end the protracted leadership crisis in the market.
He pledged his total commitment to ensure that the market is better positioned and also taken to the next level.


He prayed the Council to remain supportive even as he assured that the Association under his watch will always support all government initiative for the growth of the market.
The Executive Chairman in his address, congratulated the newly sworn in Executives urging them to be fair in their dealings with their members. He admonished them to ensure that they do positive works in the market for which they will be remembered for during their tenure in office.


He went on to guarantee them of the government support in ensuring the market is made great again in line with his resolve for the entire LGA.
