Nigeria shuts four foreign missions

The Federal Government has closed four of its missions abroad due to funding issues, a report by The Nation said.
It quoted Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, as saying that the affected missions are Sri-lanka, Serbia, Ukraine and Czech Republic.
“The outgoing minister, who is an advocate of Smart mission as means of ensuring of efficiency in the face of funding challenge, stated this while briefing newsmen on his stewardship,” the report said.
