BREAKING: Buhari names National Stadium Abuja after MKO Abiola

Muhammadu Buhari has renamed National Stadium Abuja after late politician, MKO Abiola in a move to immortalize him and mark the June 12 Democracy Day in Nigeria.
Abiola, the acclaimed winner of June 12, 1993, presidential election was died while in the custody of the then-military government of Nigeria.
Till date there is no legislation or legal proclamation to recognize Abiola as a former President, after the declaration by the federal government that he won the 1993 presidential election.
According to reliable reports, late Abiola’s son Abdulmumin Abiola, and other concerned citizens have urged Buhari to recognise Abiola as a former President and accord him all state benefits.
