Man sells his 3-year old child for N150,000


A 27-year-old man known as Chukwuma Enemuo has been arrested by the police for allegedly selling his three-day-old boy in Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The suspect was said to have sold the baby for N150,000 after lying to his wife that the baby died after delivery.
According to the Nation, the suspect conspired with one Obi Chidubem to sell the baby.
The baby was reportedly sold to Mrs Anulika Okafor, a native of Uruokwe village, Ozubulu.
Police spokesperson Haruna Mohammed, said the three suspects have been arrested while the baby has been recovered.
He said, “At about 7pm , Police detectives attached to Ozubulu Division arrested Chukwuma Enemuo. The suspect conspired with Chidubem, 45 and sold his three days old boy for N150,000 to Mrs Anulika Okafor, 39.
“The suspect lied to his wife, Oluchi, 20 that the baby is dead shortly after delivery.”
