Tribunal adjourns sitting after gunmen attack PDP witnesses

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has informed the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal that some of its witnesses were attacked by gun men.
Mr Levi Uzoukwu, who is counsel to the party and its candidate in the 2019 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, said this at the resumed sitting of the Tribunal on Friday in Abuja.
He said one of the petitioners’ witnesses called him to tell him that some gunmen attacked them on their way to the nation’s capital from Zamfara State.
According to the lawyer, some of the witnesses were injured while others have gone missing.
Consequently, the Tribunal adjourned the trial until Monday, July 15. (Channels TV)
