Ifeanyi Okowa: I can’t apologise for appointing my daughter as aide – Governor


Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta on has said that he owes no one in the state or elsewhere any apology for appointing his daughter as aide in the state government.
Governor Okowa affirmed this position on Tuesday, October 8, adding that he knows the quality of his daughter. He also rejected claims that he has two daughters and the child of his he appointed for girl child education in the state is very qualified for the position, The Nation reports.
He said: “It is not true that I have two of my daughter’s appointed. I have only one appointed and she is rightfully qualified.
“I do not have any daughter in social media. The one appointed for girl child education is rightfully qualified. I do not have any apologies for that because I know the quality of daughter that I have.”
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Okowa had sent his congratulations to the people of the state on the 28th anniversary of the creation of Delta. Okowa, in his speech on the memorable anniversary, promised the people that better days for them had begun.
