Igbo leaders, governors meet in Enugu [PHOTOS]


Meeting of South East governors with political, religious and socio-cultural leaders in the zone ends at the Government House, Enugu, resolving to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari, on the welfare of the people.


The decision was disclosed by Chairman of the South East Governors Forum and Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Umahi, who briefed newsmen alongside the host Governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, Deputy Governor of Imo State, Hon. Gerald Irona, Senate Minority Leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Ohanaeze Ndigbo President-General, Chief Nnia Nwodo, Senator Victor Umeh, Catholic Bishop of Enugu Doicese, Most Rev. Dr. Callistus Onaga, Archbishop Christopher Ede of Methodist Church Nigeria, Enugu, among others.


Gov. Ugwuanyi after the meeting, used the opportunity to showcase to his colleagues and other Igbo leaders present, the 100 units of Innoson Hilux vans fully installed with communication gadgets, which were recently procured by his administration for the security agencies in the state to effectively discharge their duties.
