Oluomo demands arrest of Oshodi violence perpetrators

After the arraignment of Ayuba Balogun and Evans Adamson at an Igbosere Magistrate Court in Lagos last Monday over the murder of Olayinka Mamora in 2015, the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Lagos State Council Chairman, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo has called on the police to fish out other perpetrators of violence at Oshodi.

Mamora was an aide to Akinsanya.

He was killed inside a barber’s shop while having his hair cut.

The 10 assailants reportedly rode on motorbikes to Mosaku Street in Oshodi and shot Mamora in the head.

The prosecutor, Mr Morufu Animashaun, informed the court that the defendants and others still at large on September 30, 2015, at about 7:30pm, mobilised themselves and invaded a barbing saloon, along Mosaku Street, Oshodi Lagos, shot and killed Mamora.

Akinsanya hailed the police authority for arresting the suspected offenders and brought them to court four years after the incident.

He pleaded with them to fish out the remaining members of the gang that killed his aide.

“I remember telling the crowd that gathered at the scene of Mamok’s murder that night not to create chaos in the community. I told my supporters not to start fighting or cause crisis because we knew those behind the killing of Mamok. We promised that we won’t take laws into our hands. We will allow police to do their job. I thanked my people for listening to me. I also appreciate the effort of the police in fishing out the suspected perpetrators.
