Wike reacts to Gov Tambuwal’s victory in Sokoto
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has reacted to the Supreme Court judgement affirming the election of Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State.
Recall that the Supreme Court had struck outthe appeal brought by Ahmed Aliyu of APC challenging the last governorship election in the state.
Reacting, Wike in a statement issued by the state’s Commissioner for Information, Polinious Nsirim, commended the Supreme Court for allowing the will of the people to prevail.
He also described the victory as a confirmation of the overwhelming support given to Tambuwal by the people of Sokoto.
He said “I enjoin Governor Tambuwal to work for the unity and growth of the state through an all-inclusive governance,” he added.
