Dangote Refinery: Coastal Road To Connect Ondo State To Lekki in Lagos

The Ondo state government has awarded a coastal road to connect Araromi Seaside in Ondo state to Lekki in Lagos.
The road project is to be partly funded by the Ondo State government and the Niger-Delta Development Commission NDDC.
When the road is completed, it will cut hours from the travel time from Ondo state to Lagos. The road will also make the Dangote refinery accessible to the people of Ondo state.
A road like this will open up a large part of the rural areas along the south-west to development. The Dangote refinery and up-coming developments along the Lekki corridor will benefit largely from this.
There is also the much talked about coastal railway connecting Lagos to Calabar. If this is built, it will connect all the cities and towns to Lagos and by extension, the Dangote refinery.
Having a railway line along that corridor will reduce the transport of petroleum products by roads thereby reducing accidents, and allowing the roads to last longer.
