Bandits Release Governor Muhammed‘s Brother


The older brother of the Bauchi State Governor, Adamu Muhammed, who was abducted two weeks ago has regained his freedom.
The Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Governor, Mukhtar Gidado, confirmed this on Tuesday.
According to the governor’s aide, Muhammed was released by the abductors at about 8:00pm and has reunited with the rest of his family.
Though the family had offered a cash reward of two million naira to anyone with information about the abductee’s whereabout, the circumstances leading to the release were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, Governor Muhammed who had tested positive for the coronavirus has been in isolation throughout the period of his brother’s kidnap.
